Foot: Google Pixel 10 Series is now on pre-order, Pixel 9, Galaxy S25 model

Google opened a new chapter in the story of Pixel phone-the first models with TSMC-manufactured chipset are for pre-order. Three of the new models will start shipping next week, the foldable will not be out until the beginning of October. Prices are the same as last year, which is great

Google Pixel 10 is the first vanilla model for telephoto lenses. However, it loses a large 1/1.31 “sensor in the main and high-resolution ultra-wide of the Pixel 9. The new model comes with £ 100 gift code. We will soon have a look at 9-series options.

Google Pixel 10 Pro also receives £ 100 gift code. The gift code or not, Pro is £ 200 more expensive. The Pro model has a large 1/1.31 ”main sensor and high-resolution ultra-wide (48MP vs. 13MP), as well as a better telephoto-5x zoom in ornaments, but it can go further with a 48MP sensor (vs.5MP).

The Pro model also gets a better Ltpo OLED display with a high resolution (1280p+ versus 1080p+). The chipset is the same for both, the tensor G5, but the Pro has more RAM (16 GB vs 12 GB). The battery is essentially the same (4,870mAh vs. 4,970mAh) with 30W wired charging – and the new generation is support for 15W magnetic Qi 2 charging and pixelsnap accessories.

Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is essentially an incapable version of 10 Pro. It has a 6.8 “Ltpo display (1344p+) and 5,200mAh battery with a fast 45W wired and 25W QI2 charging. Note that this year there is no 128GB option – the cheapest Pro XL is now 256GB model.

Again, Pixel 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL are now on pre-order and will start shipping next week (nominal, on August 28, but the first units may come soon). The Pixel 10 Pro fold is coming later (open sales will begin on October 9).

You can catch a pixel 9 and save more than 10 money. You will miss tele camera and magnetic charging, but as mentioned above, you get better main and ultra-wide cameras. The difference between tenser G4 and G5 chipset will become more clear over the next few days as the benchmark results are included in the roll.

To save even more, you can catch Google Pixel 9A. It also uses a 9 -like tensor G4, but the camera system is downgorated. Nevertheless, this is the cheapest new pixel phone that you can buy.

Google did not actually change the camera system at the Pixel 10 and 10 Pro, so take a look at the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro. There are some new AI features, but they will soon be backported with a pixel feature drop. It mainly leaves the chipset and magnetic system – but you can always buy a QE2 case for Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL.

Samsung’s major series have been around for some time and have competitive prices. Galaxy S25 is smaller than Pixel 10 with its 6.2 “Ltpo display and is also cheaper. Also, you get a free Galaxy Watch 7 40 mm (Note: This is the previous generation). For 48MP 5X camera of Pro, but it should be close to 10.5MP 5x camera of Vanilla Pixel.

For battery endurance, the 4,000mAh cell inside the S25 puts it to a loss, but the Google’s tensor is yet to prove that it is able to walk efficiently. Oh, and if you want magnetic charging and accessories, you will need the correct case – it is not made in the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Pixel 10 Pro is around the same price as the XL – although the S25 Ultra comes with a free 14 “Galaxy Chromebook Go (which is worth £ 200 either). Which of the two phones are better cameras? It is a matter of future shootouts.

If you are more concerned with weight rather than height and width, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is 163g, 41g is also 41g lighter than “small” Pixel 10. This is despite the offer of a large 6.7 “1440p+ Ltpo display (vs 6.3” 1080p+). On the negative side, the 3,900mAh battery is 1,070mAh smaller than the pixel 10 battery. In addition, there is no dedicated telephoto lens – to zoom, you get what you get from the 200MP main. Edge also comes with a free Samsung Chromebook.

As we mentioned above, Google Pixel 10 Pro fold will not be out for more than a month. Meanwhile, consider the Galaxy Z Fold 7 – although you may want to wait a while for a discount. Right now you get only £ 100 if you are a prominent student customer and he is a free Samsung Chromebook.

Google again left the flip-foldable form factor. For the same price as Pixel 10, you can fee the Galaxy Z Flip7 and experience a new look factor. We will recommend the premium Galaxy Z Flip7, however – its cost is high, but it is a better phone. But then, you may want to wait a little because the current proposal is not very good unless you are a major student member.
