According to Ashley Madison’s data, Kanchipuram, a major platform for prudent relations, has now claimed the top position in India when it comes to interest in additional-marital matters.

Based on sign-up data since June 2025, Ashley Madison has mapped the top 20 Indian cities (per capita), where interest in non-monogamy is at its peak/

Kanchipuram, a city celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and temples, has recently been in the limelight – but this time for a very different reason. According to Ashley Madison’s data, Kanchipuram, a major platform for prudent relations, has now claimed the top position in India when it comes to interest in additional-marital matters. It is a notable leap from its 17th place in winter of 2024.

The latest report by Ashley Madison highlights a growing innings – small Indian cities are fast embracing non -transcendental relations. While continuing to lead in terms of large metro numbers like Delhi and Bangalore, places like Dehradun, Kamup, and Raigad are emerging as unexpected hotspots for people looking for alternative ties structures.

Delhi, in fact, dominated the list. Only six out of 20 places in the list are Delhi districts – South, North West, West, East, Central and South West. Add to nearby cities like Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.

Mumbai, on the contrary, was not even in the top 20. It is no wonder that it won the best city to find love in a 2025 global city survey.

Based on the sign-up data of Ashley Madison from June 2025.

Offering insights into Ashley Madison’s Chief Strategy Officer, Paul Cable, Paul Cable, says: “Data shows us that the desire to redefine relationship boundaries is no longer limited to major metros. We are seeing a strong growth in sign-ups from small cities, which indicates that people across India are seeking ways to explore their terms.”

India, in fact, Ashley has become one of Madison’s fastest growing markets. The platform first reports a 155% spike in the purchase – its highest – as well as a new sign -up by 20% in 2025. These figures keep India firmly in the top five global markets of the forum, stating how fast the approach to intimacy and relationships is developing.

The top position seems particularly important to see the traditionally conservative reputation over the jump of Kanchipuram. Its rise not only moves the approach to relationships, but also challenges the prolonged stereotypes about small Indian cities. As India’s cultural scenario continues to develop, one thing is clear: interactions around intimacy, boundaries and modern relationships are no longer limited to the metro – they are happening everywhere.
