Famous mimicry artist Suresh Krishna, known as Pala Suresh, died on Sunday at 53. He was found in an irresponsible state in his rented house in Pirvom, Ernakulam district, Kerala. Suresh, who was struggling with the state of the heart, was undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College. Despite his efforts to go to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead on arrival, preliminary reports indicate that he faced cardiac arrest in his sleep.

Pala Suresh was an experienced in Kerala’s mimicry scene, gaining fame through his performance at the stage show over three decades. His prestigious copy of former Chief Minister Omon Chandy made him a domestic name. Suresh contributes to the entertainment industry beyond Mimicry, as he was also part of films, soap opera and television comedy programs. His performance in the 2013 film ‘ABCD: American-Oro Confused Desi’ was particularly well received.

In addition to his copying and acting career, Suresh Kollam was associated with Narma Troop and the stage group was an active member of Cochin Rasika. Their talent and dedication had a significant impact on both these platforms, which combines the cultural prosperity of Kerala. His death is sufficient loss to the artistic community in the state.

Ramapuram, from Velilpali in Kottayam district, Pala Suresh was the son of late Balacha and Omana. He survived his wife, Deepa, and his two children, Devanand, who is studying nursing and Devakrishna in Germany. His family and fans mourned the untimely loss of a dear artist, which left a permanent heritage in the field of Mimicry.
