Bankrupt, War 2 started in India with a gross of Rs 59 crore by Yash Raj Films. It made a jump on Independence Day and collected Rs 67 crore. The film became flat on Saturday and declined by more than 56%, with Rs 38 crore. According to estimates, War 2 can add another Rs 36 crore to Tally, which can make a total of Rs 200 crore at the Indian box office.
Being part of India’s most successful cinematic universe, two big stars were placed on a huge budget, yet War 2 other detective-poetry failed to repeat the successes of films. Ayan Mukherjee’s director met the mixed with a negative word-mouth, which disrupted his box office ability from the early day.
