Cool and War 2 hit the box office on 14 August. Together, the films achieved a joint opening day of about Rs 134.50 crore, in which Cool contributed to the lion’s share. Cool earned Rs 75.50 crore as compared to Rs 59 crore for War 2. Collectively, two films gave the Indian film industry their second largest box office day, which has just crossed the early day of Pushpa 2.
War 2 registers higher collections than War 2 on Independence Day holiday in India
On the second day, Independence Day Holiday, War 2 took an edge over the porter. War 2 earned Rs 67 crore as compared to Rs 63.50 crore. The Hindi version of War 2 left its performance, which led to at least one moral victory over the cool, if not much. The two -day collection of War 2 is Rs 126 crore as compared to Rs 139 crore of Cool.
The collection of both films declined on Saturday, and Sunday’s hopes remain modest. The race between the two films is tight, and it is uncertain that will top. The film on Saturday and Sunday is likely to end with a high total collection in India.

Coulie is expected to be a major discrimination in foreign collections. Early days of Cool are much higher than War 2 over the first weekend in the opening day of foreign collections. The coulie’s extended weekend collection is estimated to be 10 million USD USD compared to War 2. The gap of US $ 10 million (Rs 87 crore) in the weekend and a difference of Rs 100 crore in lifetime is being considered at this point. This only means that the cool worldwide will lead war 2 at the box office by a margin of Rs 100 crore, as well as in the entire run.
Coolie, despite its underperformance, remains in controversy to be a superhit
Both films have not performed as they should have. But it is undisputed that the Rajinikanth film is still in controversy to be a super hit, given its low cost and high global gross.
