Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband businessman Raj Kundra has returned to the online trolls, questioning his recent proposal to donate kidney to spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj at Vrindavan. He shared a long post on social media on Friday, in which the claims of PR stunt were slammed.

Addressing the backlash in a social media post, he wrote, “Strange world we live. When a person introduces a part of himself to save another’s life, it is mocked as a PR stunt. If compassion is a stunt, it can see the world more. If humanity is a strategy, more people can adopt it. I do not define it.

In a follow -up statement, Kundra said, “My past does not cancel my current options, and my current intentions are not to measure you with your blasphemy. Judge less, love more – you can just save a life (SIC).”

Kundra, who was visiting Vrindavan with his wife, proposed after knowing that Maharaj had been struggling with kidney failure for more than a decade. A video of the yatra showed that Shilpa saw her husband’s spontaneous gesture. While Maharaj appreciated Bhavna, he rejected the proposal.

Shortly thereafter, critics accused Kundra of orchestrating the Act as a promotional stunt.

This episode comes at a time when Kundra and Shetty are also facing different legal problems. Businessman Deepak Kothari has accused the couple of cheating Rs 60 crore, alleging that the money contained for business expansion was diverted for personal use.

The Economic Offenses Wing is investigating the case, the couple’s legal representative dismissed the allegations as “baseless” and “malicious”.

Kundra’s public defense has given rise to a sharp division online, some of which have praised their work as compassion, and others question its intentions. As the controversy comes out, both the honesty of his gesture and the results of the legal matter remain under intensive public investigation.
