In November last year, Lokesh Kanagaraj, one of the country’s leading filmmakers, announced that he was turning producer and launched his own production banner called G Squad. His first production venture, Fight Club, starring Vijay Kumar in the lead, hit the silver screens the following month.
Recently, the Leo director revealed his second production venture, Benz, which stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. Lokesh Kanagaraj also released the first look poster of the film. In the latest update, it is reported by Indiaglitz that the project will feature Fahadh Faasil and SJ Suryah in lead roles.
Fahadh Faasil and SJ Suryah are reportedly part of Raghava Lawrence’s Benz
As per a report in Indiaglitz, both SJ Suryah and Fahadh Faasil will be playing the villains in the upcoming film. If the reports turn out to be true, this will be the second time collaboration between SJ Suryah and Raghava Lawrence after the highly acclaimed Jigarthanda DoubleX which released in November last year.
This will also be the first collaboration between the two actors and Fahadh Faasil. However, the makers of the film are yet to officially confirm whether the actor is a part of the film or not.
What we know about the Benz so far
As reported earlier, Benz is Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second production venture, and his first collaboration with Raghava Lawrence. The film is directed by Bikkiyaraj Kannan, who is known for films like Remo and Sultan. Apart from producing the film, Vikram director has also written the story, while Bikkiyaraj Kannan has written the screenplay of the film.
From the first look poster shared by Lokesh Kanagaraj earlier this year, it is speculated that Benz will be an action entertainer. The poster also reads: “A warrior fighting with a purpose is the most dangerous soldier”.

While the official cast and crew of Benz has not been announced yet, the film is bankrolled by Lokesh Kanagaraj’s G Squad in association with Passion Studios and The Root, and is expected to hit the silver screens later this year.
