This is a wrap for Christopher Nolan’s The Odissi. Matt Demon starrer, since his announcement, has been highly anticipated by fans, waiting to hit the film on a big screen.
The filming process was concluded by the actors, which was declared by art director Samantha Anglender. She took her Instagram stories to share a picture from the set, writing, “This is a rap.”
The film, which has been produced by Nolan with his wife, Emma Thompson, is shot on 70 mm Imax cameras under his synchronous banner.
What about Odyssey, and when will it release?
The epic poem written by Odyssey Homer will be based on Odissi. The film included Matt Damon in the lead, which plays the character of King Odisius, the ruler of Ethaka. The story will revolve around the king, which withdraws its journey after the Trojan War.
As actors of the film, Damon has been included by Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathway, Robert Patinon, Lupita Nyyo, Charlize Theron, Mia Goth, John Bernthal, Beni Safi, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Bill Irwin, Samantha Morton, Rafi Gavan and Shillon.
Earlier, the teaser trailer of the film was leaked online, which gave fans a glimpse of Holland, who plays the role of Odissius’s son, Telemaches. It also revealed the look of Bernthal from the film; However, their character details are still kept in wrapped.
For shoot locations, artists filmed scenes at places such as Italy, Morocco, Malta, Greece, Iceland, Scotland, Western Sahara and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, according to media reports, Christopher Nolan direction is built on a budget of USD 250 million, which is one of the most costless films by the filmmaker.
Odissi is set to hit theaters on July 17, 2026.
