The sales of the Galaxy S25 series have been strong, the S24 series is leading at the sales speed. The new edge was closed for a difficult start, though. Overall, all four Galaxy S25 models have sold a total of 20.22 million units in that period, compared to 18.02 million for the S24 model in the same time limit last year. This is an increase of 12.2%.
However, it includes 650,000 Galaxy S25 Edge Units – Note that this model was launched only in late May, so it is actually only a month of sales. For reference, in the first two months of availability, the S25+ was on 1.67 million sales.
By reducing the edge, the total sales of the S25 series are 19.56 million or 8.5% on the S24 trio. Let’s take a look at how each model performed.
The small Galaxy S25 shows the largest personal growth – 11.6%on its predecessor. The rumor is that Samsung wants to replace it with a more competent S26 Pro next year, which can increase sales even more.
The Samsung Galaxy S25+ recorded a solid 7.5% increase compared to the previous year’s model, but it is still the worst selling Galaxy S model by a comprehensive difference (it is only sold two-thirds of the number of vanilla models). No wonder Samsung wants to leave Plus for next year, especially when the S26 Edge is expected to improve on two fronts.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra remains jewel in the crown of Samsung, already an increase of 7.1% in high sales numbers. However, luck has moved slightly – it can no longer be said that the S25 jointly dismisses the ultra S25 and S25+ models. It is 9.64 million for Ultra vs 9.92 million for the other two.
Samsung has a major shake-up plan for the 2026 Galaxy S lineup. How to affect sales is yet to be seen. It will depend on the Galaxy S26 Pro pricing (it replaces the vanilla S, but what will be the same or higher?) And how the sale of S25 Edge continues after the first month (over time and kicks in promo).
