Dhanush called the AI version of Ranjhana as a slam, ‘Sachin Li Li’ its soul’s film ‘
Dhanush criticized the unauthorized AI-Late Re-R-Relise of Ruzhana and said that the new end removed the soul of the film and released despite their objections, raising serious concerns about the use of artificial intelligence in creative works.

Ragjana director Iyanand L. After Rai, actor Dhanush criticized his 2013 film unauthorized re-too, which was replaced using artificial intelligence to include a different end. Dhanush said that the new end of the AI changed by AI has effectively removed the soul of the film.
The AI-Janit version, described as a “pleasant end” cut, was allegedly released without the consent of the original creators of the film. The re -edited version has provoked backlash within the film industry, with concerns about the morality of using AI to change creative work.
Dhanush, who played the lead role, released a public statement on social media, stating that the converted version “completely disturbed” him. He said that despite his objection, the release progressed.
Dhanush said on X, “Ranjhana’s re-health with A-Lated Climax has completely disturbed me. This alternative end has taken away the film of his soul, and the respective parties have moved forward with it despite my clear objection. It is not the film that I did 12 years ago.”
He said, “The use of AI to change films or materials is an example for both art and artists. This threatens the integrity of storytelling and the legacy of cinema. I sincerely hope that strict rules have been kept to prevent such practices in future.”
Director Anand L. Rai also spoke against the release, saying that the film was “changed, was re -released without my knowledge or consent and was re -released.” He described the situation as “deeply disturbed” and said that the changed version reduced the original intentions and references of the film.
The director “a careless acquisition of the film’s AI version that strips its intentions, its context and the work of its soul”.
“In the last three weeks, the real and depth has been harassed. To see ‘Ranjhanna’, a film arising out of care, struggle, cooperation and creative risk, is being replaced, being released again without my knowledge or consent. And the comprehensive creative community reminds me what was the original ‘ragjana’ originally: Connection, courage and truth.
Many industry figures including Neeraj Pandey, Kanika Dhillon and Tanuj Garg have expressed support for the original creators and criticized the AI-converted release, called it immoral and harmful to artistic integrity.
In the lead roles of Ranjana, Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, was released in 2013. It received both significant praise and commercial success and over the years, achieved a cult status among the audience.
