Singer Shilpa Rao seemed to be in mistrust as we told her about winning the best playback singer at the 71st National Award. “I am super excited,” he especially told India today. The popular romantic song from ‘Jawa’ (2023) was honored for ‘Chele’.

Thanking the Aatley-Director’s team, Rao further said, “I mean, this is a lot of gratitude for so many people. First, for Shah Rukh Khan, because it all started with his phone call, which is asking me to be a part of the jawan. First, but then the level of rest, energy level, focus on recording the song, it was very memorial to be a part, it was very memorable.”

She also went to thank her fans, who showed the song a lot of love. The singer admitted that he had to call his parents till now and tell him about the big news. And when we informed him that Shah Rukh Khan also received the great honor of the best actor at the National Awards, Shilpa Rao said, “Oh my God, this is a big scale. Then we all cheer (laughing).”

Celebrating achievements in Indian cinema, the 71st National Film Awards ceremony announced its winners in New Delhi today. The event, which recognizes outstanding contribution to various categories such as acting, direction, music and production, was held at the National Media Center.

This year’s best actor Acclade was jointly honored for his performance in ‘Jawan’ and Vikrant Massey for ’12th failure’. Rani Mukherjee received the Best Actress Award for her role in ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway’.

While ’12th fail’ also achieved the best feature film Honor, the Best Film Award in the Hindi category was given to ‘Kathal’.
