Actor Kamal Haasan was recently sworn in as a Rajya Sabha member (MP) in New Delhi. Congratulating him for the political milestone, his actor-daughter Shruti Haasan wrote an emotional note on social media.

Shruti shared a picture with Kamal on her Instagram story, reading, “Love you and proud of you appa. Always.” He added another photo with his father to his Instagram post, with a message that expressed pride in his achievement.

‘Fuckin: Part 1 – Conflict Pose’ The actor flew to the national capital to support his father. Kamal made his parliamentary debut on 25 July, 25 July, which took oath as a Rajya Sabha MP in Tamil during the fifth day of the monsoon session. Kamal’s party, Makkal Needi Mime (MNM), joined hands with the DMK -led coalition before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. As part of the seat-sharing system, MNM was assured the Rajya Sabha seat in exchange for his support.

The actor was last seen in director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Thug Life’ (2025). He will next be seen in ‘Indian 3’ (2025).

Kamal is likely to have a long screen time as an opponent in the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 Advertisement’.
