Apple has rolled out the fourth developer of iOS 26, which offers a clear glimpse to release its next major software. A few days before the expected launch of the iOS 26 Public Beta, this new version refines the form and experience as the operating system and re -presents some controversial AI features.
The most notable changes are the withdrawal of AI-Interested News Notification Summary, which was temporarily stopped by Apple earlier this year. Following a serious error, the feature suffered a backlash, in which a news related to the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was incorrectly presented. At that time, the AI-borne summary had wrongly stated that the suspect had died of suicide, a claim BBC, whose article was summarized, was strongly denied. In response, Apple pulled the feature and promised to improve.
With Beta 4, Apple re -presented the summary feature with a new setup screen which now includes a warning. Under the “News and Entertainment” section, users are warned: “Summary may change the meaning of the original headlines. Please verify the information.” The message reflects Apple’s attempt to balance between innovation and responsibility as it pushes deep into AI integration.
Along with this, Beta 4 continued to refine the liquid glass design overhaul unveiled at WWDC in June. While the previous beta toned some more transported elements, Beta 4 brings back the signature Apple Flair, in which apps such as photos, weather, Apple music and app stores once again sports dynamic, transparent layers. The notification center has also seen the tweex, now a soft tint sporting that the users’ scrolls subtle.

In addition to these changes, users updating the latest beta are now congratulated with a new welcome splash screen, as well as introductory pages for features such as updated camera apps, clever Siri and AI notification summary tools.
Although Apple has so far published full release notes for Beta 4, initial examiners have reported performance improvement and minor bug fixes throughout the board. Beta is currently limited to developers, but the public beta of iOS 26 is expected within the week, providing wide access to the more stable version of the software.

As usual, developer Betus is designed to give time manufacturers to ensure compatibility and performance before the required full public rollout this year. However, the growing consumer interest in early access has inspired Apple to continue offering public stakes with less bug and more stability, with an initiative since WWDCs in recent years.
Along with iOS 26 beta 4 -Apple also released fresh developer builds for its other platforms: IPADOS 26, Macos 26, Watches 26, TVOS 26, Visionos 26, and Xcode 26. All are now available to registered developers through Apple’s portal.
