The Devil Viers Prada is returning to the screen with a sequel. The 20th -century studio announced that the sequel is in work, and now, Anne Hathaway confirmed that the film is officially in production.
The actress, who played the role of Andy in the original cinematic piece, donated her prestigious blue sweater in the ticket video as she brushed her teeth.
Andrea Sachs’s character wore a blue sweater for her interview with Miranda Pujari, which was painted by Meril Streep.
During the scene, the latter proceeds to criticize Andy, as she says, “But what you don’t know is that the sweater is not just blue, it is not turquoise, it’s not Lapis, it is actually serulian.”

The sequel to the Classic 2006 film is set to hit the screen next year. The film was announced in July 2024, and the studio also confirmed that all the original stars would return to the new film.
According to Variety’s reports, the upcoming film will move around the film Prustley, which will navigate its career amidst the decline of traditional magazine.
The official summary of the film states that the sequel follows the priest, “as she navigates her career amidst the fall of traditional magazine publishing and as she faces the character of Blunt, now a high-standing executive for a luxury group with advertising dollar that the priest is in dire need.”
In addition, the most part of the film will be based on the points of the book Revenge Wear Prada: The Devil Returns, which was dropped in the market in 2013. This novel was released about a decade after the original story.
This suggests that Andy and Emily will join hands as top magazine editors. While things are well, Miranda tries to reopy Andy’s life.
The filmmaker of the original film David Frankel has stepped into the sequel to direct the sequel. In addition, the original producers and writers have also returned to the upcoming film.
The Devil Viers Prada will be released in theaters on May 1, 2026.
