This year Samsung launched the Galaxy S25, S25+and S25 Ultra in January and then the S25 Edge in May. Next year, the family (if we disregard the Fe model) will be composed only by only three members, according to a new report from Samsung’s house in South Korea.
So, 6.27-inch Galaxy S26, 6.66-inch Galaxy S26 Edge, and 6.89-inch Galaxy S26 is expected to look at Ultra. This is correct, there will not be a Galaxy S26+, which is definitely, if this report proves to be accurate.
We cannot say that we are very surprised. After all, the Galaxy S25 edge has the same screen size to the S25+, but it is thin (with all the agreement arising from it – mainly we are talking about a low camera and a small battery). And with the rumor of changing the iPhone 16 Plus with the iPhone 17 Air with Apple, Samsung is running with the bus.
We believe that the plus model of the Galaxy S series is the lowest selling (this is the same case for Apple), and so it makes sense to let it go, especially because the edge will really complete those who want to especially want the screen size.
For those who want the largest screen and the most characteristics, always ultra, and of course it helps in the lower line of Samsung that it is the most expensive of the line – and that the edge is more expensive than the plus. The average selling price for the line will definitely go up, even if only a little bit.
The flip side is that people who really liked what they loved and did not require additional bells and whistles of ultra, from now on there would be two flawed options: edge with the same size but slightly more expensive and a small battery and possibly still a low camera, or ultra that is too expensive, and big, and heavy.
