Superman landed in India yesterday with a first day collection of rupee. 7.75-8 crore (USD 900K) approx. Batman V Superman: Behind Don of Justice and Black Adam, the third largest rank for DC film in the country, crossing Batman. The numbers have also been well compared to director James Gun’s Guardians of the Galaxy Volume. 3 (8.25 crores), despite being a strong Marvel branding in that film.

The superhero style is a major draw for Indian audiences when it comes to Hollywood films, however, this success has been largely powered by Marvel. DC is historically lagged behind. While many Marvel titles have earned more than Rs. The biggest rupee is running with Rs 100 crore. 400 crores, DC remains to hit that mark. The top -grossing DC title Joker in India is with Rs. 84 crores.
