In short

  • Now you can make images in the video on the Gemini app
  • Gemini app will use VO3 abilities to make generic AI video
  • This will still allow users to create 8-second animated videos from images

Google is bringing video-generation features in its Gemini app. This feature will allow users to still convert photos into an animated video clip using their latest video generation model, VO3. The update started rolling out Google AI Pro and Ultra Subscribers in select countries on 11 July. For now, Google will only allow users to generate eight-second videos with sound, which will add a new layer of creativity to digital storytelling.

Recently in Google Blog Post, the company announced the availability of features in the Mithun app, stating how users are already using VO3 in imaginative ways with capabilities. The official blog post reads, “From re -starting fairy tales through the eyes of a modern affected person, ASMR video shows that it will prefer to cut through a piece of cooling lava, when you make videos with Gemini, your imagination is the limit,” the official blog post reads. According to Google, over 40 million VO3 videos have been generated through Gemini and Flow in the last seven weeks.

How to create photo-to-video clip in Gemini app

Photo-to-video feature is available within both Gemini app and Google’s AI-Interested Video Creation Tool, Flow.

To generate videos, here is a step-by-step guide:

– Open your Gemini app.
– Now tap or click on the ‘Video’ option in the tool menu.
– To choose and upload the photo, tap on the ‘+’ button (or ‘upload image’) that you want to conscious.
– Next, describe the scene you want to make – if necessary, including audio instructions – and let Mithun AI handle the rest.
– Within minutes, the tool will generate a dynamic MP4 video in 720p HD, which will be completed with speed and sound.

Safety measures

Meanwhile, like other AI features, Google is also protecting its video building equipment against possible misuse. The company notes that each generated video consists of a visible watermark, indicating that it is AI-generated, as well as with an invisible syntid digital watermark developed by Google Deepmind. These watermarks help ensure transparency and discourage misuse.

Google insisted on focusing its focus on security, given that its video generation tools undergo harsh tests. The company wrote, “This includes comprehensive ‘red teaming’, in which we test our system and aim to fix them before fixing possible issues.” Additionally, the user can provide a reaction within the app using the thumb-up or thumb-down button on the material generated, which can help Google to improve both experience and security over time.
