SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, is currently under production under director SS Rajamouli. Now, the latest reports suggest that R Madhavan is playing the role of superstar’s father in the ambitious Magnum Oppus.
R Madhavan playing the role of Mahesh Babu’s father?
According to several reports on X (East Twitter), R Madhavan has been suggested to play the role of Mahesh Babu’s father in the adventure film. While there is not much information about the film, Maddy will be interesting to see such a role.
Interestingly, reports also show that the role was initially given to Chian Vikram, but Veera Dheer Sorran actor rejected it, causing Madhavan to come on the board.
So far, all these are speculation because the appointed time is yet to be officially confirmed by the manufacturers.

SSMB29 recently made headlines after suggesting to go through a shooting phase in Kenya. Reports states that the film will shoot for an important introductory scene, which will include both Mahesh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
The special view is called an insight into major characters and a significant twist in the story. Interestingly, a huge set similar to the ghats of Varanasi is being built for globe-trotting adventure in Hyderabad.
Talking about Magnum Ops, SSMB29 has been postponed as one of the largest cinematic ventures in Indian cinema ever. To portray the experience never seen before, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 900-1000 crore.
Initially, the film was released in theaters as a two-partter with shooting by the end of 2026 and the large screen was killed in 2027 and 2028 respectively.

Apart from Mahesh Babu, Priyanka in the adventure film will be co-dated with actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran and R Madhavan in the lead roles.
