Junior NTR has officially directed his share of the much awaited action thriller ‘War 2’, directed by Ayan Mukherjee and produced by Yash Raj Films. On 7 July, the Telugu superstar shared his enthusiasm and praised his co-star Hrithik Roshan’s energy and work morality.
In its post on X, Junior NTR wrote, “And this is a rap for #War2! There is a lot to withdraw from this one. It always takes place on the set with @ihrithik sir. On August 14 (SIC), wait for all of you to experience this high (SIC).”

The action spectacle ‘war’ brings Kabir of Hrithik Roshan together and is expected to be on the face of the epic ratio in JR NTR’s new introduction character. Stunned by Ayan Mukherjee, the film is part of the expansion of the YRF detective universe and is being deployed as PAN-India release. More than 7,500 screens were booked globally and with three weeks of exclusive IMAX run, ‘War 2’ is one of the biggest dramatic incidents of 2025.
The discussion around the film also stems from its strategic publicity. According to industry reports, Hrithik and Junior NTR will promote a separate film to maintain their on-screen rivalry stress. Meanwhile, Naga Vamsi of Sitara Entertainment has acquired Telugu rights for the film’s commercial capacity, Rs 80 crore.
With a star-stad cast, high-octane action and a strong emotional arc, ‘War 2’ promises a cinematic experience that is largely in a scale and lies in storytelling. The film is slapped for release before Independence Day on August 14, 2025.
