Samsung is getting ready to launch its new foldable phone – Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 – at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on 9 July. But just before the big day, a new leak has attracted everyone’s attention, and it is not about the above Galaxy foldables. This is something new. According to a report by Android Authority, an animation spotted inside the latest UI 8 beta update shows that a Tri-fold Samsung resembles the phone, possibly called the Galaxy G fold.
Animation means showing how to keep the phone for NFC payment, but it clearly shows a phone with three folding parts and two hinges. This lines with Samsung’s earlier Tri-fold concept, shown as Flex G prototype. This version looked heavy and did not have a cover screen, but this new design looks very polished and practical.
From animation, we can see that the back cameras are placed vertically in the top-left corner, such as on the Galaxy Z fold series. There is also a front camera on the middle screen, which can double as a cover screen when folded. The right panel looks like a regular performance with very thin boundaries. When completely opened, the phone can give a big, tablet -like experience.
This design is different from what Huawei has done with its foldables. The Samsung version bends inwards in a G shape, which can help protect the performance when the phone closes. While the animation does not confirm the name or glasses, it suggests that the Samsung is almost ready to show the device.
He said, Galaxy G fold is not expected to be launched in the July 9 program. This can just be briefly teased or mentioned. Complete disclosure may occur later this year, possibly in October.
For now, the main focus of the unpacked event will be Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Both phones have already been leaked in render and even live pictures. They are expected to come in two colors. Jet black and blue shadow-and Snapdragon 8 Elite Chip will feature a slimmer design, lighter build and top-tier specs. The Samsung Galaxy Watch can also launch a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 File with 8 series.
