Happy Doctor Day: First patient’s stories will never forget
All physicians recall their first patient – not as a medical case, but as a decisive moment of their infection from student to healer.

Stethoscope looked heavy that day. Coat a little white. The corridor is a little longer. Somewhere, in a room just ahead, a patient waited – don’t know that they were going to happen before anyone. That how many doctors remember that they step into their new identity – not only as graduates, but as physicians. The first patient is rarely forgotten. Whether it is a regular check-up or a case that used to sweat them, that first encounter is sewing in every medical journey clothes. On this doctor’s day, we asked doctors to rewind the clock and define that time – raw, real and unforgettable.
Dr. Amisha Mahajan, Advisory Dermatologist, Eden Skin Clinic
“When I joined the MD Dermatology, I imagined the life of acne, pigmentation, and people looking better. But on my first day, I had to face a 70 -year -old woman suffering from poisoning epidermal necrolysis. But I knew I had the best care.”
Dr. Sukhjinder Singh Yogi, Sexologist, inheritance of 4 generations Yogisurveda Clinic and Panchkarma
“My first case was reported in 2003-a 28-year-old man married for 3 months, with 3-4 grade varicocele, 3%active sperm mobility, and scrotum pain as well as a sense of heaviness in the evening.
This condition was already assessed in a famous institute in Chandigarh, and he asked us to management further. On intensive clinical evaluation, we advised a four -month treatment protocol with modifications for treating varicocele and related symptoms. After the treatment protocol, the patient also showed a notable improvement. Their active sperm dynamics were significantly improved from 3% to 65%, and their symptoms such as scrotum, pain, and evening heaviness were completely resolved.
We are very grateful to this successful result and believe that it is the result of both hard work and favor of God in the recovering of the patient’s reproductive health. ,
IVF expert Dr. Jaydev Dhamelia, Director and Founder of Cander IVF Center
“I never planned for IVF; it was not a passion at first, but to understand the influx of the patient beyond the numbers, to see the feelings behind the internal ambition-every couple.
We did not have our IVF setup, so I took the patient to another hospital. Despite their misunderstanding, the cycle was successful, resulting in a healthy 2.5? KG child was born on mother’s birthday. That picture of a newborn was emotional. The couple suffered a stressful love marriage with the support of the small family, but the child changed everything – strengthening the bond and even doubling MDRT by increasing the husband’s license career.
The moment taught me that IVF is not just medical treatment, but a life-transformed journey that rebuilds families emotionally, socially and economically for families. Destiny, not design, brought me to IVF – and with every couple, I get the purpose of bringing them the joy of paternity. ,
Dr. Vivek Srivastava, Senior Vice President: Innovation -Business Strategy and Scientific Affairs, Zone LifeSains –
“The role of a doctor connects knowledge, education and humanity-Symbol is a symbol of a true doctor along with philanthropy. I consider myself lucky that Almighty has worked as a small channel to change life meaningfully and work as a small channel for wisdom.
I saw a change in smooth, red skin from the crust patch, eventually achieved a complication free from inflammation. My treatment approach combined Ayurvedic medicine, dietary changes, mental welfare and supplementation, which promoted the intensive sense of satisfaction and confidence. “While educational knowledge makes a doctor eligible to serve society, it is equally important to appreciate the objective of me. This approach is based in treatment principles, which aims to recognize the uniqueness of every person and to achieve and maintain the balance of mind, body and soul.
Years later, after countless patients, procedures and prescriptions, it is still that the first encounter is the gender – a reminder why they chose this path in the first place. There is a moment of uncertainty behind every confident doctor, learning memory, and a patient who unknowingly shapes a career. The day of this doctor, we not only respect white coat and knowledge, but also – humble, human and hearty.
