Surya’s ‘Kanguva’ to clash with Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyan’ on October 10
The release date of Suriya’s much-awaited film ‘Kanguva’ is finally finalised. The makers have announced that the film will hit theatres on October 10.
Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ directed by Siruthai Siva has finally got a release date. On June 27, the makers of ‘Kanguva’ announced the release date of the film along with an official poster. The action drama will hit the theatres on October 10 and will clash with superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettaiyaan’ directed by TJ Gnanavel. According to trade experts, this was quite an unexpected clash during the Dussehra holidays.
On June 27, Suriya shared a new poster of his look from ‘Kanguva’ and announced the film’s release date. He wrote, “Dear all, it’s 10th October 2024 #Kanguva from 10th October.”

In April, Lyca Productions shared the poster of Rajinikanth’s film ‘Vettaiyaan’ and announced that the film would release in October.

“‘Vettaiyan’ will release on Dussehra. I have completed shooting for my part. Shooting with other artistes is still on. The film will release around October 10,” Rajinikanth had told a yogi during his Himalayan trip in June.
Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ was scheduled to release in the summer of 2024. However, it was postponed due to delays in shooting and post-production. Also, the makers were waiting to decide on a suitable release date for the film. ‘Kanguva’ is being marketed as a pan-India film.

‘Kanguva’ is a fantasy action film directed by Siva. Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations. As per reports, Suriya will be seen in a double role. Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu and many others will play important roles.
