Noted apple analyst Ming-chi kuo Published a new roadmap forecast for Apple’s vision headset and upcoming smart glasses. Apple is clearly going all-out on the smart glasses front, with no less growth than four models.

The first will be a ray-ban meta contestant with camera and video recording abilities, speakers and a voice-controlled user interface and AI features. They are expected to enter out mass production in Q2, 2027 and Kuo predicts that Apple will reach 3-5 million units of shipments in 2027.

The first generation apple glasses will offer many materials for temples and frames Finnish. Apple’s first smart glasses entry is also expected to increase the demand for smart glasses category in other brands, in which the product category is expected to reach 10 million shipments in 2027.

The Apple Silicon (LCOS) display is also working on the extended reality (XR) glass with liquid crystals at voice control and gestures. They are expected to enter the production on a large scale in Q2 2028.

The Kuo also mentions an additional “display accessory” pair pair, which is connected to an Apple device including the iPhone. These were to enter large -scale production in Q2, 2026, but are now prevented for purification.

The vision chain of the headset is also getting new models with an updated Vision Pro with an updated Vision Pro to debut later this year. This will clearly start production on a large scale, it is expected to get the production runs in Q3 (July-September) and 150,000-200,000 units.

Apple is apparently not launching a new vision device in 2026, but KUO believes that there are at least three new headsets in development, which are due to launch in 2027 and 2028.

Vision Air is expected to come up with a mild form factor in Q3, 2027, 40% lighter than the Vision Pro (600–650 g). It will be equipped with an “iPhone-grarade processor”, a magnesium alloy chassis, low sensor and plastic optics, which is all in the name of weight loss. This version is expected to receive a comprehensive appeal among consumers and will naturally arrive with a low starting value.

The second-generation vision Pro is expected to enter the production on a large scale with a light design with a revived design, a lighter design with a new M-series chip and a low scare price tag in Q2, 2028.
