Karthi is set to appear in the lead role for a film next time, titled Karthi29. The Tameez direction film is likely to start shooting soon, it seems that the grandmother may appear in the role of a cameo.
According to a report by Valai Pichu, the natural star is expected to appear in the role of a character or cameo. Although it is a report for now and requires an official confirmation, it will be interesting to see the actors to share the screen.
For those unknown people, Karthi was shown in a special presence in Nani’s film Hit: The Third case. The film featured The Mayajhagan actor in a post-credit scene as ACP Veerappan IPS, teasing the sequel venture hits: The Fourth case.
On May 1, 2025, the film, which reached the big screen, was the story of SP Arjun Sarkar IP. After officer Krishna Dev alias KD, an officer known for his small nature and violent himself was deployed in Vishalkapatinam.
As the new officer takes charge, the film commits a fierce crime against others, only to reveal his real intentions of assassin of the killers.
How Arjun Sarkar managed to find and abolish the entire film as a huge crime. Along with Nani’s head, the film featured Srinidhi Shetty, Rao Ramesh, Samuthikani, Tisca Chopra, Pretic Babbar and many other actors in many other lead roles.
The third installment in the hit cinematic universe by film director Selesh Kolanu, with films such as the World Sen starrer Hit: The First Chapter and Edivi Sesh’s Hit: The Second Case was followed.
Actor is the next set to appear in the lead role for The Paradise of director Srikanth Odella, coming on the work front of Nani. After the upcoming film Dasra, Odella will mark the actor’s second cooperation and will be released on 26 March 2026.
On the other hand, Karthi was last seen in a lead role in the film Meijhagan. The film featured the actor in the title character, who talks with his cousin brother Arulmoji, who travels throughout the night that changes the latter life.
Moving forward, the actor will appear in Sardar 2 next time, which is the sequel to the detective actioner Sardar. Apart from Karthi, the film stars actors like SJ Surya, Rajisha Vijayan, Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath.
