Actor Mohanlal gave fans a reason for rejoicing over his weekend on Saturday as he announced the much awaited Malayalam sequel ‘Drisum 3’. Along with the announcement video, he also shared that the film is scheduled to release in theaters in October 2025.

The video shared on Instagram and X showed Mohanlal’s close-up as Georgekutty, then greeted him the producers of the film. A text in the clip reads, “Soon coming. Lights. Camera. October,” suggests that the film will be released this year. ,

The caption of the post was read, “October 2025 – The camera returns to Georgekutty. The past never remains silent (SIC).”

In a special conversation with Indiayatoday.in, Mohanlal said, “Drishyam has done very good things. It gave a great uplift to the Malayalam industry. We produced the film that was during Kovid -led epidemic. The film was seen by the whole of India. Now they watch more Malayalam films.

‘Draisham’ was a successful franchise, later remake in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sinhalese and even Chinese. Reports states that the Hindi version of ‘Drisham 3’ by Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan will go on the floor in October.
