Sekhar Kamula’s upcoming film ‘Kubera’, Dhanush, Nagarjuna Akini, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh starring, are officially set to hit theaters on 20 June 2025. The film has been approved by the Central Board of the Central Board (CBFC) of the UA certificate and one runtime in 181 minutes. However, CBFC trimmed 19 scenes from the film, giving about 14 minutes from the original runtime.

Prior to its release, ‘Kubera’ was reviewed by CBFC, where several scenes were trimmed from the final cut. According to a report at the Andhra box office, 19 scenes have been removed, in total of about 13 minutes and 41 seconds. The footage of the trimmed footage includes scenes of Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjuna and Jim Sarbh, who play Dev, Sameera, Deepak and Neeraj respectively.

Interestingly, all three major characters – Deva, Sameera, and a scene involved by Deepak (starred by Nagarjuna) – were also trimmed into a cab ride. The Pan-India project, shot together in Telugu and Tamil, will be released in three languages- Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. The film has music composed by Goddess Shri Prasad, produced by Sunil Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and presented by Sonali Narang.

The trailer of ‘Kubera’ was recently released and has gained traction by encouraging fans. The trailer shows Dhanush as a beggar who dreams of crores of wealth. Nagarjuna, who appeared in a layered role, announced that in this country, not only money and electricity, not morality or justice. Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna appears to play a supporting character that believes in the bow.

‘Kubera’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2025. The film also features Dalip Tahil, Sayaji Shinde, Divya Dekete, Haresh Pedi and many others as part of heritage actors and are set to release in theaters on 20 June.
