Actor Aamir Khan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’, has finally addressed allegations against his 2014 film ‘PK’, which was accused of promoting ‘Love Jihad’ and being anti -religious. In an interview recently, Khan dismissed these claims as “wrong” and claimed that the film never intended to target or insult any religion.
In an interview with Bharat tvAamir Khan clarified that ‘PK’ does not intend to hurt or make fun of any religion. He said, “We are not against any religion. We respect all religions and all religious people. This film asks us to be alert to those who exploit religion so that the common man is foolish to withdraw money from them.
‘PK’ found herself at the center of the dispute due to the depiction of organized religion, and especially included a love story between a Hindu woman (played by Anushka Sharma) and a Pakistani Muslim person (starred by Sushant Singh Rajput) for its subplot.
The film criticized some sections, who accused it of promoting ‘Love Jihad’.
Reacting to these allegations, Aamir Khan, who played PK in the film, said, “When people of two religions fall in love and want to get married, it does not always love jihad. It happens that they love each other, this Sangh is just humanity. It is above religion.”

When asked how his children were named, Aamir replied, “My children were named by my wives. I never intervened in it. The husband did not have much anyway,” he joked.
