  • Atley addressed allegations of copying scenes in his films
  • He was recently awarded a doctorate from Satyabama University in Chennai.
  • His next film ‘AA22 X A6’ is with Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone

Director Atley responded to allegations of literary theft, as it was claimed that the poster of his film ‘AA22 X A6’ was copied from ‘Dune’. He emphasized his previous films including ‘Bigil’, and highlighted how he maintains integrity in telling his story.

After receiving an honorary doctorate from Satyabama University in Chennai, Atally briefly talked about the allegations that his films are “copy”.

The director of ‘AA22 X A6’ addressed the notion that the scenes and characters in his films are inspired by other sources.

Speaking at the event, Atally said, “Generally, there is a perception that the films I make are taken here or from there. But I tell you about my life today and give you an example that you can join.”

He revealed that Vijay’s character Michael Reppan was inspired by a gangster-turn-football coach, a gangster-turn-football coach, Jopabama University founder and Chancellor Jepaiar in his 2019 film ‘Bigil’.

The filmmaker further said, “Today, when I received a doctorate and played music with Mercel (2017), I believe that I only earned it through honesty, only through love. I promise today that I will feel proud of this country.”

A few months ago, internet users mentioned the striking equality between the poster of ‘AA22 X A6’ and the poster of Hollywood science-fi thriller ‘Tibba’.

As the first look of Allu Arjun-Dipika went viral, fans alleged the similarity of Timothy Chalmet and Zandaya’s epic science-Fi film.

Expressing his excitement for the new project, Atley said, “Kalanidhi Maran Sir (of Sun Pictures) is producing the film. It is one of the most expensive films to be made in our country.”

He said, “We are using a lot of new technology to make it. I am dreaming a big, and the budget has not been closed yet. The manufacturers will set the release date,” he said.

Atley recently added Deepika to the actors of his ambitious film. The announcement video read, “The Queen March to Vijay! Welcome to the welcome Deepika Padukone, AA22xa6 (SIC) faces.”

Atley made his Bollywood direction debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’.
