James Gun has addressed rumors around the upcoming Batman film. Amidst promoting Superman, the DC chief shared that Batman II is a “important” film in the II trilogy, and the ax of the film is for fans.
With Gunn’s statements, fans know that Robert Pattinson will soon return as his prestigious character, while Matt Reves will take the director’s chair.
This is a long wait for the fans of the Batman franchise, as the second installment will be released 5 years after the first film. Pattinson donated a superhero suit for the first time in the 2022 film, The Batman.
James Gun reflects on Batman II
While sitting for an interview with Entertainment Weekly, James Gun shared that Batman trilogy is extremely important for him, as well as franchise.
In detail on the statement, the director said, “What to do with Mat is still really important, despite all the stories.” He further said, “We are going to see that script soon, and I can’t wait.”
Earlier, on the press tour of Mickey 17, Pattinson also expressed his excitement about returning to the black suit. He said, “I started as a young Batman and I am cushing the old Batman with the sequel. … I am 38 years old. I am old.”
In his diversity conversation during his previous film promotion, The Twilight Star mentioned that he was about to start filming the sequel for his 2022 film by the end of 2025. “And I know what it is, but I can’t tell anyone. But it’s very good. It’s very exciting.”
