Airtel recently announced a price hike for its prepaid and postpaid plans and the new prices have come into effect from today (July 3). As already mentioned, the new plan prices are more expensive than the previous plans. However, this does not mean that Airtel has forgotten its budget-conscious customers. There are still plans that can offer great services for less than Rs 200. Read on to know more about Airtel’s new prepaid plans and know which plan is best for you.

Airtel’s affordable prepaid plans

The earlier Rs 179 monthly plan now costs Rs 199. If you don’t want to spend too much at once and need less data, this plan is still one of the best value for money plans. The plan now includes 2GB data, 28 days validity, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. However, if you can increase your budget by Rs 20, we would recommend the Rs 219 plan. Under this plan, you can get 3GB data with a validity of 30 days.

If you need more data, there are daily data plans available for you. The Rs 349 plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 299, offers 1.5GB of data per day, while the Rs 399 plan, which has been revised to Rs 449, offers 3GB of data per day for 28 days. There is also a Rs 299 plan that gives you 1GB of data per day and has a validity of 28 days.

For users who need longer validity, the Rs 579 plan, which was earlier Rs 479, now offers 1.5GB daily data for 56 days. The three-month Rs 859 plan, which was earlier Rs 719, now includes 1.5GB daily data for 84 days. Annual plans have also been adjusted, the Rs 1999 plan, which was earlier Rs 1799, now offers 24GB data for 365 days.

Data add-on plans

The data add-on plans have also been changed, starting with the Rs 22 plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 19 and now offers 1GB of additional data for a day. The Rs 33 plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 29, now costs Rs 33 and offers 2GB of additional data for a day. Finally, the Rs 77 plan, which was earlier priced at Rs 65, now costs Rs 77 and includes 4GB of additional data for the validity of the base plan.
