Zomato launches ‘Restaurant Service Hub’: A one-stop solution for restaurants pan-India

Recently, food-tech giant Zomato has introduced a one-stop solution for its restaurant partners to boost business. According to a PTI report, the online food ordering and delivery platform on Thursday launched ‘Restaurant Service Centres’ across the country. Available through Zomato’s restaurant partner app or dining app, this new facility offers services related to licensing, taxation, trademarking, restaurant registration, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) registration and more. Along with this, the company is also offering hiring solutions with the option to outsource the entire process for a seamless restaurant operation. Reportedly, Zomato is also offering a guarantee period for new employees.

According to a PTI report, Zomato has issued a statement stating that the ‘Restaurant Service Hub’ feature has served over 3,200 restaurants in the last six months. The company is currently planning to expand the service to restaurants across India, “beyond their arrangement with Zomato”.

Elaborating on this pan-India service for restaurants, Rakesh Ranjan, CEO, Food Delivery, Zomato, says the company wants to provide restaurants with a complete solution to deal with operational complexities, including choosing the right location and finding the ideal supplier. “The Restaurant Service Hub platform is just a step towards our vision of building a full-stack solution for any restaurant owner who wants to open shop or grow their existing business. By strengthening partnerships and facilitating collaboration within the industry, we are focused on building a more resilient and inclusive ecosystem in the country,” says Rakesh Ranjan.

Talking about its upcoming plans, Zomato said that the company intends to launch various other services like POS (point of sale), device integration, and hygiene audits for its restaurant partners.

Swiggy recently launched a new feature on its partner app that connects restaurants with staffing experts to help them hire qualified candidates for various roles.
