Getting food delivered at home has become an everyday affair for many, as it is now easier to get instant food delivered and a variety of restaurants are available at our fingertips. However, despite the convenience, some people often complain of food irregularities and express their concerns on social media. One such complaint was recently posted on X (earlier Twitter) by a user named Himanshi (@himisingh01), who shared her disappointment on receiving non-vegetarian food instead of vegetarian in her order. The customer said that this is “not acceptable”, especially during the ongoing month of “Sawan” when many people avoid consuming non-vegetarian food. The food was ordered from Eatfit restaurant through food delivery platform Zomato. Both the restaurant and the delivery agent have responded to the complaint.
“Ordered Palak Paneer, Soya matar and Bajra Pulao from Eatfit via Zomato. Instead of Palak Paneer they served Chicken Palak. Delivering chicken in Sawan is not acceptable when I have chosen only vegetarian food,” the user wrote on X.

This is not the first time such an incident has come to light. Earlier in April 2024 during Navratri, a Zomato customer received non-vegetarian momos instead of vegetarian momos. Read more about it here.
