Zomato has addressed recent claims that a Meerut delivery partner earned only Rs 300 after working for over six hours on Diwali, calling the report false. The food delivery platform clarified that the delivery partner did not work on Diwali and his actual earnings for six hours of work on October 30 were Rs 695.

Zomato clarified that the delivery partners worked for six hours on October 30 and not on Diwali as claimed in earlier reports. Meanwhile, the company claimed that the delivery person delivered 10 orders and earned Rs 695, not Rs 300. The same day, the platform confirmed that other delivery partners in Meerut who worked an average of 10 hours earned between Rs 1,200 and Rs 1,200. Rs 1300.

The false report initially surfaced when Hrithik Tomar, a Zomato delivery agent, shared an Instagram reel documenting his experience of working part-time in Meerut on Diwali. In the video, Hrithik captured scenes of his delivery route and the festive streets, and shared how his shift started at 5 pm and ended at 11 pm. He claimed to have completed eight orders and earned Rs 316 from his work that evening.

The reel quickly gained popularity online and received over 5.5 million views. While many viewers appreciated the hard work of the delivery personnel during the festive season, Zomato’s clarification has now set the record straight, showing that the income figures mentioned in the video do not reflect the actual earnings of the delivery partners. Are.
