ZOMATO CEO Deepinder Goyal is back with a new job posting, looking for candidates who use artificial intelligence (AI) as their “second brain”. In a post shared on X (East Twitter), Goyal announced the role of this AI-centric job, to interested persons to send an email along with the subject line to apply: “I have a second brain . ” While the details of the job role remain in the wraps, the bizarre requirement has attracted a lot of attention.

In response to its latest post, many social media users have appreciated the concept of “second brain”, referring to the growing role of AI in today’s professional environment. A user commented that AI can improve decision making, automate tasks and open new opportunities for professionals. Goyal responded to such comments, revealing that AI has promoted its productivity, and believes that the technology is becoming unavoidable in leadership roles.

This new job posting follows a uniform trend of Posting Goyal, which has previously used social media platforms to advertise the lead roles in Zomato. In particular, Goyal’s former listing for a major status of staff promoted a comprehensive debate due to its unconventional situations – candidates were required to pay Rs 20 lakhs and no salary for the first year. The controversial step led by online mixed reactions, some of which questioned the fairness of the terms, while others praised the innovative approach.

For this role, Zomato attracted more than 18,000 applicants. Of these, 150 were interviewed, and 30 candidates received offers. Goyal also confirmed that 18 persons had already joined Zomato and its group companies, including blinkit, taking high impact roles. Although the salary for these roles was not officially disclosed, there were indications that it could reach Rs 50 lakh annually on the basis of official job posting.

For the current AI job offering, Goyal has not shared a specific details on what is the role or what is the salary structure. However, while focusing on the history of AI and Zomato to offer competitive packages for important positions, it is expected that the compensation will be good for the right candidate.
