Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski gave a sharp reply to American senator Lindsay Graham’s suggestion that he should step down by stating the South Carolina Republican that if he wants his opinion, he can go to Ukraine and become a citizen.
“I can give him citizenship of Ukraine,” Zelansky said when asked about Graham’s comment. “He will become a citizen of our country, and then his voice will gain weight. And I will hear him as a citizen of Ukraine, who is on the subject of who should be the President.”

The Tens Oval Office Meeting
The dramatic exchange followed an explosive meeting between Zelancesi, his US counterpart Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance at the Oval Office on Friday. The Zelanceci was demanding strong American support for Ukraine’s war attempt, but the discussion quickly turned into a public conflict.
After the tension increased, Trump pressed Zelansky as to whether Ukraine was ready to give regional concessions for Russia. Vance joined the Ukrainian President for lack of appreciation for US assistance, increasing the conflict.
Zelancesi fired back at Vance, “What kind of diplomacy, JD?” He indicated several unsuccessful conversations of Ukraine with Russia before the entire -scale invasion. The exchange only became more hot, declaration in Trump that Zelanski was gambling with “World War III.”
When Zelansky pushed back Ukraine’s unsuccessful diplomatic efforts with Russia, Vance accused him of “ungrateful” and “disrespecting the US President”.
Stress increased when Zelansky warned Russian aggression eventually threatened America. “You have a good ocean and no longer feel, but you’ll feel it in the future,” he said. It was reportedly disappointed Trump, who suddenly terminated the meeting and canceled a planned joint press conference.
In a later interview, Zelancesi admitted that his oval office exchange with Trump and Vance was heated, but defended his approach, called it “necessary”.
Graham called Zelansky to “resign”
After the meeting, Lindsay Graham did not criticize her. The senator told reporters outside the White House, “He either needs to resign and send someone with whom we can do business, or need to be replaced.” He called the discussion “complete and completely disaster” and suggested that the leadership of Zelansky has become an obstacle for effective US-ukraine relations.
A few hours before the Oval Office Clash, Graham allegedly issued a warning to Zelancesi.
“Don’t fodder,” the senator warned, advising the Ukrainian leader to avoid warm arguments on security agreements. However, after the commencement of the meeting, Zelancesi did not withdraw-lead to one of the most intensive diplomatic deadlock in recent US-Quaraine relations.
