Zeenat Aman has been on an indifferent journey through his Instagram page, often shared stories back-to-back from his prestigious films. In a recent post, the Bollywood Diva opened only one time to work with the late actor Rishi Kapoor, revealing an entertaining event, where he was designed to look longer than him during a shoot.
Zeenat and Rishi Kapoor shared screen space only once in the 1977 film Hum Kisis Kum Nahin, directed by Nasir Hussain. Despite both the big names in the industry at that time, their professional routes rarely crossed. Zeenat shared a fickle scene from the film and a clip of a music number, with a unique experience of working with Rishi, which he lovingly called “Chintu ji”.
He shared in his note, “I worked with all the men with whom I worked with camphor, sage and I spoke at least both social and professional.” “In fact, all those years when our careers were overlaps, we only portrayed in this one song together. My role included just one qawwali number (sole one of my career) and a romantic scene with Chintu ji.”
The actress came to a humorous revelation that the gap between them became a concern on the set. Standing herself long, Zeenat admitted that many of his co-stars had trouble adjusting his height, as it was often seen as undesirable for a prominent woman to be longer than her male counterpart. This concern appeared especially in the scene he shot with the sage.
“So we were there, Chintu ji and I was molesting for the camera on a russet leather couch,” he remembered. “But for some reason, our seated positions made our height difference more clearly. A lot for Chintu ji’s Chaigerin, Nasir Saab first landed him on one and then two cushions to make him look longer than me!”
Zeenat also explained how director Nasir Hussain considered his lucky attraction after the success of his first cooperation. They asked her to make a special appearance in Kissis Kum Nahin, and she agreed, not realizing that it would give rise to such a memorable filming experience.
