Zeenat Aman has opened up about aging with the honesty that has eluded her for so long. The 74-year-old actor reflected on why she still chooses to work, and why staying professionally active gives her routine, comfort, and something to do each week.
In her note, the veteran actor expressed her appreciation for her current opportunities, while also revealing what she would do with her time if the job ran out.

Giving fans an insight into her life behind the camera, Jeanette wrote, “That was the week! Can I just reiterate how grateful I am to be gainfully employed at this age? Sure, I enjoyed my quiet years, but currently I have things to look forward to.”

She also highlighted the importance of setting manageable goals that keeps her motivated, saying, “A city to visit, a script to ideate, an ad to shoot, a workout to complete. I love setting small-sized goals for myself that give each week a sense of purpose. Honestly, I also love the peace of mind that comes with earning an income. Don’t you? (sic)”

Humor and honesty about aging
The actress admitted that she sometimes wonders what life would be like without professional commitments. She admitted, “I sometimes wonder what I’ll do with my time if work ends. The disappointing conclusion I’ve come to is that I’ll probably rot in bed watching endless reels of babies and baby animals!”
Thoughts on career and hobbies
Reflecting on his career, he explained that starting work at an early age limited his opportunities for hobbies. He wrote, “You see, I started working so early that I didn’t have the opportunity to develop hobbies in my adult life. While other seniors might be more intrepid, I think that ship has sailed for me. Now that I’m in my 70s, I’m not motivated enough to pick up a piano or wear an apron and learn to bake! (sic)”
The actor expressed curiosity about other people who have taken up new hobbies later in life. “That said, I’m quite curious to know if you know anyone who picked up a hobby late in life and really committed to it? Please share their story in the comments; I’m sure it will be inspiring to all of us,” she said, inviting her followers to contribute their experiences.
