Zeenat Aman spoke about feeling ‘intimidated’ by Rajesh Khanna but didn’t reveal it. She shared her experience of working with the late superstar during the early days of her career.

Zeenat Aman recently opened up about her experience of working with the late Rajesh Khanna and revealed that she used to get intimidated by his presence during the initial days of her career. The veteran actors worked together in several films like ‘Ajnabee’, ‘Chhaila Babu’ and others.
Zeenat Aman revealed in a recent interview that during the initial days of her career, she used to memorise all her lines carefully to avoid making any mistakes in front of the superstar.
Aman told Film Companion, “I remember when I stepped into the film industry and Rajesh Khanna was a marvel. Oh my God, I had memorised all my lines so that I wouldn’t make a single mistake. I was totally intimidated by him, but did I show up to him? Absolutely not. I went up to him and I performed. So when I went back to my make-up room, I thought, ‘Wow. I’ve just given a shot with a superstar.’ I think that’s the right attitude to have.”
The actor stressed the importance of focusing on the performance while working with superstars rather than getting overwhelmed by their presence.
Aman and Khanna’s on-screen chemistry and memorable performances mesmerized audiences and left an indelible mark on the Indian film industry. These films are still loved by fans today.
After this, Zeenat Aman will be seen in Faraz Arif Ansari’s film ‘Bun Tikki’, in which she will also be seen with Shabana Azmi and Abhay Deol. The film is produced by Manish Malhotra.
