Talking about this, Zayed admitted that the 70s and 80s were the ‘Wild Wild West’ of Bollywood, when something or the other used to happen in every actor’s house.
“This was not just happening at my father’s house, but at every actor’s house,” Zayed said in an interview. ZoomHe added, “Everybody was very eccentric, except for one or two weirdos who were really honest and down to earth; everybody else… ugh! When I was young, I used to see these people partying and wearing those jazzy Versace shirts and their stuff. It was a totally different era back then. They were real personalities.”
The most widely circulated rumor was that Sanjay Khan beat Zeenat Aman publicly in a public meetingDue to which he suffered an injury to his eye, the effect of which is still visible on the actor.
However, Sanjay Khan denied this and told Rishikesh Kannan on his podcast that he ‘never slapped her’He called Zeenat’s allegations ‘a PR attack against him that came as a bombshell.’ Addressing the allegations, he claimed that in Zeenat’s case, it was ‘hereditary’ and that ‘the facts were completely, fundamentally opposite.’
He said, “If you look at ’81, ’82, ’83, ’84, she did a number of films. There is evidence that she had perfect eyes. Later in life, she became a bit cross-eyed because her mother was a bit cross-eyed. It was a hereditary thing that was labelled on me. I never slapped her, and that was blasphemy.”
Zeenat Aman also recently spoke about her eye injuryHe revealed that he has a problem of ptosis. He wrote on Instagram, “For the last 40 years I have been treated like an elephant. Now it’s time to take this elephant out. I have a disease called ptosis – it is the result of an injury several decades ago, which damaged the muscles around my right eye. Over the past few years, it has caused my eyelids to droop even more. And a few years ago it became so severe that it started obstructing my vision.” He also underwent surgery in April 2023.
