Actress Zarina Wahab talks about being asked questions by people in Mumbai about her decision to work in Telugu films. Zarina said that she believes that family films are no longer made in Bollywood.

The actor, while promoting his upcoming Telugu film, Honourable Kingmentioned that she has been working in the film industry for more than four decades. He also revealed that not many people know that he is from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. As reported by Hindustan Times, Zarina said, “I have been working in the industry for more than 40 years. I am from Andhra, so I can speak good Telugu, much better than anyone else. Everyone keeps asking me why I am not working in Telugu films. I have worked in a few, but this film is bringing me more fame.”

“People in Bombay ask me, why are you doing Telugu films? The family is dead in Hindi films. There is no family. Only in the South the family is still alive (The concept of family has died out in Hindi; it survives only in the South). They make family films that people love to watch. I am currently working on 2-3 more Telugu films.”

“I am very grateful to the Telugu industry now, and I am very grateful to the Hindi industry as well.” Honourable King The actor insisted.

Zarina’s last Telugu release was Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1In which Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh and others are in important roles. The action-drama was directed by Koratala Siva and co-produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni, Kosaraju Harikrishna and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram.

Zarina’s new film Honourable King Prabhas, Malavika Mohanan, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal and others in lead roles. The film is directed by Maruthi and co-produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla and Ishaan Saxena.

Rajasaab is set for theatrical release on January 9, 2026.
