Comedian Zakir Khan said that there is no comparison between him and Kapil Sharma. The comedian said in an interview that even though his show has replaced Kapil on Sony TV, he can never compete with Kapil Sharma.

Khan said this in an interview. tv9and added that Kapil is a huge artiste and in a way, he has paved the way for many comedians like him in the industry. “I don’t agree with comparisons. He is a huge artiste, how can I compete with him,” he said. Praising Kapil’s work and how he was one of the first comedians to make it big on screen, Zakir Khan said that he looks up to Kapil’s work. “Kapil is the pioneer of our work. When his shows became hugely successful, I benefited from it while sitting in Delhi as a small-time comedian. I benefited even later when I moved to Mumbai,” he said.

The famous stand-up artist said that he has a lot of respect for Kapil. He said, “In the field of art, if even one person does his work well, then everyone benefits from it. The rising sun never knows where all its rays are reaching.”

Khan spoke about his mutual love for his fellow comedian. He said that there can never be any competition between the two. “I come from a house that got lit up because of him. I have no shame in saying that. I respect him a lot and he also meets me with a lot of love. So how can we compete? We will just do our work,” he concluded.

His show ‘Aapka Apna Zakir’ is a comedy show in which Zakir hosts celebrities. The first episode of the show features Karan Johar, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
