According to a report in People magazine, Nikocado Avocado calls himself the “King of Mukbang”. The term Mukbang first originated in South Korea, where people eat huge amounts of junk food in front of a camera while interacting with the audience. In the video, Nikocado shared that he has successfully passed the “biggest social experiment” of his life. “Today, I woke up from a very long dream, and I also woke up with 250 pounds less on my body. And just yesterday, people were calling me fat and sick and boring and irrelevant… and yet I managed to stay two steps ahead of everyone. The joke is on you.” 250 pounds is approximately 113.398 kilograms, which is a lot of weight that he has lost in a span of 2 years.
A few minutes into the video, Nikocado returned to eat a large plate of avocado spicy cheese noodles, marking his return to mukbang. While eating, he revealed that the reason for his 2-year hiatus from creating any type of content was to focus on his health.
Speaking to NBC News, Nikocado Avocado said that he had planned everything in advance. The YouTuber revealed that he weighed 411 pounds two years ago. His current weight is 158 pounds. Elaborating on how he implemented this strategy, Nikocado said, “I have been strategically posting pre-recorded videos on both YouTube and TikTok for 2 years. I edited the videos in a way that they looked recent, so that I could focus on fixing my body behind the scenes. I shaved my head so that people would not recognize me in public. Some fellow YouTubers also helped me keep my secret.”
Nikocado Avocado told the outlet that even though everyone was fooling him into consuming more food, he was “in complete control the whole time.”
