Today, Honor announced the launch of its Honor 200 Pro and Honor 200 in international markets. Both phones are available for pre-order starting today, and general sales will begin on June 26. They join the more affordable Honor 200 Lite, which launched globally in April.
The Honor 200 Pro is the top of the line. It features a 6.78-inch 1224x2700px OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 4,000 nits.
It runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Inside is a 5,200mAh battery with 100W wired and 66W wireless charging, and you get 5W reverse wired charging for when you need to charge an accessory or another phone.
The focus of the Honor 200 Pro is on the cameras. You’re looking at three 50MP units – a wide, a zoom, a selfie shooter, and a 12MP ultrawide (with autofocus). The 50MP f/2.1 selfie camera is backed up by a 2MP f/2.4 depth.
Honor has worked closely with renowned French photography studio Harcourt to improve the Honor 200 Pro’s cameras, particularly its AI Portrait Engine. The engine aims to bring Harcourt’s craftsmanship and understanding of shadow and light expression to Portrait mode shots.
The ‘Triple 50MP Portrait Camera’ brings an advanced Honor RAW domain algorithm for well-balanced portraits that will manage exposure in both bright and dark scenes.
The Honor 200 is on par with the Pro, but lacks some detail. The 6.7-inch OLED is nearly as sharp at 1200x2664px, while its refresh rate and brightness are the same too.
The SoC is the 4nm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The Honor 200 has the same 5,200mAh battery, but it only does 100W wired and 5W reverse wired charging.
You get a similar camera system with a 50MP wide with a smaller sensor, and the same 50MP telephoto, 12MP ultrawide with autofocus, and a 50MP f/2.1 selfie, though without the secondary depth sensor.
Finally, let me say something about the Honor 200 Lite, which is already on sale globally. It has a 108MP f/1.8 main camera (with Hi-Res mode) and a 50MP f/2.1 selfie shooter. It runs on the 6nm Dimensity 6080, and has a 4,500mAh battery with 35W charging.
The Honor 200 Lite is available from Honor’s website and all major retailers for £280/€329 (get £30 off via Honor’s UK website with code “A200L30”).
The Honor 200 Pro and Honor 200 are available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale starting June 26.
The 12/512GB Honor 200 Pro costs £700/€799 and gets a great add-on for free in the form of a Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 50W Bluetooth speaker (usually costing £280). The 8/256GB Honor 200 costs £500/€599 and gets a free JBL Charge 5 Wi-Fi (usually costing £200) – both speaker deals are stock dependent. The 12/512GB Honor 200 costs €649.
