A 33-year-old man named Robert Langlais is in custody after a bizarre incident in Fall River, Massachusetts. On Tuesday evening, police executed a search warrant at 127 Canal Street, leading Langlais to attempt to escape through the roof. USA Today Informed. However, he got stuck in the chimney. Fall River Police Department bodycam footage shows detectives searching for Langlais and asking the fire department for assistance in rescuing him.

“You’re an idiot,” an officer could be heard saying as he shined a flashlight on the trapped man. “Show us your hands.” The fire department and emergency medical services broke down the chimney to free Langlais, who was later taken to a local hospital as a precaution.

Police said in a statement, “On the evening of December 10, 2024, detectives from the Community Action and Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant for 127 Canal Street. During the search warrant application, two males approached the residence via the roof Ran away from.” A statement was issued on Wednesday regarding the incident.

“During the application of said search warrant, two males escaped from the residence through the roof. One male escaped capture by climbing through the roof and onto a parked vehicle.
