Karan Johar remembers father Yash Chopra on his death anniversary

Today, June 26, is the unfortunate day when popular Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar lost his father Yash Johar. Today also marks his 20th birthday.th On the death anniversary, Karan Johar expressed his feelings on Instagram.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director shared a collection of old pictures of his father and said that losing a parent was his biggest fear. He further added that he misses a “strong, soulful and selfless person” like Yash Johar, but he also accepts the fact that his father keeps an eye on his children, his mother Hiroo Johar and himself.

Her note read, “I can’t believe it’s been 20 years. My greatest fear was losing my parents… On August 2nd, 2003 my father told me he had a malignant tumor… My worst nightmare was staring at me and yet as his child it was my duty to stay positive and keep the faith… But the worst thing about instincts is… they never lie.”

Karan Johar says Lakshya was the last film his father saw

As Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya completed 20 years on June 18, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani director revealed that the Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta starrer was the last film his father saw at its premiere.

Karan wrote on Instagram Stories that Lakshya was the last film his father saw before he left them. “He came back from the premiere so he was so proud of @faroutakhtar @zoieakhtar and @hrithikroshan and told me he has seen them grow up and blessed them. Lakshya will be special for me in so many ways…he also met the whole industry at the premiere,” the filmmaker said, adding that he was grateful that his father could say a final goodbye to his film family at the screening.
