Indian winters and Panjiri laddus are a match made in heaven, and if you’re a desi food lover, we bet you can’t disagree. This traditional Indian sweet is prepared from a nutritious blend of roasted wheat flour, ground nuts, seeds, dried coconut, aromatic spices and sugar. Like many of us, new mother Yami Gautam is also a fan of these laddus. On her first day back on the sets after the birth of her son Vedavid, the actress savored the sweet, which is known for its health benefits, especially for new mothers. She shared a picture of herself with a partially eaten panjiri laddu, which was prepared by her sister Surili Gautam. Her wide smile shows how much she loves this sweet treat. In her caption, Yami wrote, “Monday morning happiness 1. After the first day of shooting (baby emoji) 2. Sweet Panjiri Laddu.”

Yami Gautam is a big fan of Indian sweets. Like many food lovers, she also loves gulab jamun, which can instantly brighten any day. Not long ago, he, along with his sister Surili Gautam, inspired the chef in him and prepared a batch of gulab jamun on a cozy Sunday. In a video shared by Surili on Instagram, both are seen completely concentrating on the preparation. Yami starts pouring flour into a bowl, while her sister sprinkles some cardamom powder. They carefully add the other ingredients, creating perfectly round gulab jamuns. The video ends with Yami and Surili tasting the home-made dish, which looks absolutely delicious. Before the Gulab Jamun video, Yami Gautam shared another sweet kitchen moment on Instagram. He decided to make a delicious banana cake, fondly called Donut, for his nephew Saibhang Singh Bhatti. In the video, Yami starts by mashing a peeled banana in a bowl. Then she mixes flour and cocoa powder in a plate. Next, she adds a few more ingredients to the banana mixture, including vanilla extract and a butter-like substance. Finally, she adds dry fruits to the batter. “Donut and her aunt,” she wrote in the caption along with a heart emoji. Yami reposted the video from her sister Surili Gautam’s timeline, where Surili had captioned it: “When Yami makes a delicious banana cake for donuts.” Here’s the full story.
