Yaiba Returns with a fresh optimization by Anime Studio Wit, which is set to run for 24 episodes in this spring 2025. The series was originally aired from 1993 to 1994, and now the facility of updated animation and direction under Takahiro Hasui.
Minami Takayama gave the voice of Joshimasa Hosoya, Manaka Evami, and Junichi Suvabe with the voices of energetic hero Yaiba Kurrogen with major characters. This series follows Yaba’s journey to become a skilled Samurai installed in a modern Japan.
2025 anime, now titled Jeiba: Under Samurai legend, it will be broadcast in two consecutive courses during 2025 sessions of spring and summer. According to the official website, the first episode will be titled ‘Yaba arrival’.
Yaba Episode 1 will begin with Yaiba Kurrogen training in the forest with his father, Kenjurau, chasing the path of a true Samurai. After facing a tiger called Kagatora, they unexpectedly return to Japan. There, they live with Kenjurau’s friend’s family, mine house.
Although initially overwhelmed by Yaba’s unexpected behavior, the Sayaka mine gradually adjusts life with her. During a visit to Sayaka’s school, Yaiba meets Takeshi Oneru, a combined Kendo fighter, marking the beginning of an important rivalry.
The story will embrace Manga in the late 80s, combining classic sons with a vibrant tone. The Yaba episode will premiere on JST at 5:30 pm on 1 April 5, 2025. It will be broadcast on Yomuri TV, Nippon TV and their colleagues on Saturday.
Streaming platforms in Japan include Netflix, Abema, Nikonico, D Anime Store, U-Next, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu, others. Internationally, the Yaba episode will be streaming on Hulu, Netflix and Bilibili with 1 regional restrictions.
