Netflix releases trailer for XO, Kitty Season 2 and Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky steals the spotlight! The first season of the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before spin-off series featured Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty, navigating her high-school life in Seoul, South Korea. When her romance with Dae Hyeon goes off the rails, she starts running away with Min Ho.
However, things become complicated when Kitty dreams of kissing Yuri, leading her to realize that he is interested in girls. As per the trailer, the drama, madness and love triangle will continue in the upcoming season.
Although it’s unclear whether Centineo will make a one-scene cameo, his presence and camaraderie with Kitty – who was a key part of Peter Kavinsky and Laura Jean’s love story – will add a new flavor to the show.
Anna Cathcart’s character will be sent back to Seoul for a new semester at Korea International School Seoul (KISS). “Last semester ended with a lot of drama,” she says in the trailer. “This semester, my priorities are straight; I’m going to read books and finally find out who my mother really was. I’m ready to launch Kitty 2.0.
Kitty talks about feeling like an anomaly when she first arrived at university and says that “there’s nothing like the friendly faces you meet from home.” Just then Kavinsky entered the frame and Kitty ran to hug him. After this, Kavinsky is pointed towards in the trailer and she tells him encouraging words. Before the trailer ends he says, “You’re Kitty Song’s crazy covey, don’t forget that.”
Speaking to Tudum, Centineo spoke about the “amazing” experience of working with Cathcart on the spin-off series. “She’s extremely talented and her work ethic comes through in every scene,” he told the outlet. He added, “Stepping back into the To All the Boys universe was a true joy, and I hope our incredible viewers enjoy seeing Peter again as much as I did.”
The actor shared that it was a lot of fun incorporating Kavinsky into the universe and hopes fans will enjoy his interactions with their favorite XO, Kitty characters and tease “juicy surprises” in store.
