Xiaomi has announced its next budget Redmi phone for India. It is called Redmi 15 5G (not Redmi 14, as you probably think) and this is the sequel to Redmi 13 from last year. In question, the phone packs a bunch of quality-life upgradation on its predecessor which includes a super-manic 7,000mAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s General 3 chip. Xiaomi will formally launch the phone on August 19.

The product listing page for Redmi 15 5G confirms almost all its glasses before launch to leave very little for imagination. The biggest draw easily is that it has a large 7,000mAh battery. It is based on silicon-carbon technology. Xiaomi is still going to say that both these characteristics are a section-first without removing any pricing information. You can expect it to cost around Rs 15,000, but by looking at the launch price of Redmi 13 – but we will see. The battery has been rated for 12.75 hours BGMI and 23.5 hours to give youtube playback.

Without mentioning the accurate charging speed, Xiaomi has also announced that Redmi 15G 18W supports reverse charging that says that you can use it as a portable power bank to charge other equipment.

Xiaomi is also claiming that Redmi 15 is 5G “the thinnest” 7,000mAh battery smartphone. The design is fully discovered at the same time. It is a great departure from Redmi 13, coming through the largest changing camera deco which is clearly made of aerospace-grade metal. The rest of the phone appears to be made of polycarbonate. Redmi 15 5G declaration is heated on the heels of Xiaomi launching Redmi Note 14 SE 5G in India. Redmi Note 14 SE is essentially the Redmi Note 14 without a charger in the box to say that it is also cheaper with the 6GB/128GB model, which costs Rs 14,999.
