Even though we are still months away from the rumor launch of the Xiaomi 16 series, the new leaks are already giving us a very good idea as to what to expect. The phone is expected to be the successor of Xiaomi 15 – a tool that was launched in India a few months ago. And yet, the latest information about its characteristics and hardware continues on the online surface. The latest scoop comes from tipster Digital chat stationWhich claims that Xiaomi 16 will have a 6.3x-inch display. We guess that this may be a 6.36-inch AMOLED panel used on Xiaomi 15. The leak also brings more clarity to the phone’s battery-and it seems that we are for a serious upgrade.
The first leak indicated in a larger battery than 6,500mAh, and now Digital chat station A 7,000mAh cell is specifically mentioned under the hood. Today it is an important leap compared to most of the flagship in the market. To keep it in perspective, the onePlus 13S released has already been pairing with a 6.3-inch screen 6,000mAh battery. Therefore, Xiaomi is getting even bigger with the capacity of the battery by the end of the year, it does not feel far -fetched. Technology is clearly moving rapidly, and battery innovation – especially with silicon carbon cells – gaining speed. This is high time Apple and Samsung also joined Bandwagan.
For performance, Xiaomi 16 is expected to be operated by Qualcomm’s Next-Jen Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Chip, which will probably be declared during the Snapdragon Summit in this September. This will make it a direct successor for the current Snapdragon 8 Elite SOC, which gives strength to Xiaomi 15 and many other current Android flagships. While there is a chance that Xiaomi can also potentially use its own xring 01 chip-the same one that is in Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra-It seems that the company will stick to the top-and silicon of Qualcomm for this one.
The camera system on Xiaomi 16 is also called for the facility of three 50-megapixel sensor-one primary lens, an ultra-wide lens and a telephoto lens with macro support. There is nothing different from the Xiaomi 15 on paper, but we will possibly see the improvement in processing and software.
Among all, the Xiaomi 16 seems to have a compact flagship phone with some serious battery muscle – probably the largest in its orbit if it comes to the rumor of 7,000mAh. If Xiaomi follows the release pattern like last year, we may expect Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro, and 16 Ultra to be unveiled in China by October, with India an India likely around March 2026.
